ErReR Hill Farms is located about 65 miles east of Pittsburgh, in beautiful Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The original name of the farm was Oak Springs Farm and was purchased in 1946 by Eugene Riggs and his son Sidney W. Riggs. It was operated as a small dairy farm until 1957, when the dairy cows were sold and the first Angus cows were purchased. It has been a continuous Angus farm since that time.
In 1972, after the passing of Sidney Riggs' brother, Dr. Robert E. Riggs, and in memory of his father, Eugene Riggs, Sidney combined their initials and renamed the farm to ErReR Hill Farms.
Like other farms, we raise various crops including hay, oats, and soybeans. Once harvested these products are used to feed our livestock.
The farm currently operates a Specialty Shop where genuine ostrich leather productsand other unique gift items are sold. Angus auctions are held at the farm twice a year and ErReR Hill Farms has become a well- known and established breeder of Black Angus bulls and heifers. After the passing of Sidney Riggs in September of 2006, his sons Bill and Dan took over the management of the farm. Bob Hay, Sidney’s nephew, runs the day to day operations.
